Express Your Personality with a Bathroom Luxury
When asked which room in a house exudes one’s personality, people would almost always come up – without much thought – with the bedroom. It is after all one’s sanctuary and where one supposedly spends at least 8 hours everyday inside. But isn’t that too cliché?
Bathrooms are where you fix yourself up before stepping out for the world to see and where you pamper yourself after a long, tiring day out (whether for work or play, it doesn’t matter). It’s clear that we spend a lot of our waking time in the bathroom. Now the question remains, shouldn’t it be personalized too? Isn’t it entitled to a bit of lavishness given that it is where one unwinds at the end of the day and starts another with the intention of giving off a certain aura? Even for one-bathroom houses, it wouldn’t hurt to put bits of you here and there – to touch things up with a bathroom luxury or two; or three; or four.
Luxuries are defined as things that are inessential but add significantly to one’s pleasure and comfort. They don’t have to be ones that leave you broke – although the more expensive they come, the better quality (aesthetically or otherwise) you get. Still a lot of these come cheap and are available in individual pieces which allow you free creative reign. These luxuries may come in different forms and its difference ranges from person to person; some may say that a bathroom rug is a luxury while others won’t. Some people don’t hold out much for a bathroom rug luxury thinking it’s just a rug while others invest in top-of-the-line non-skid and reversible rugs. It’s just a matter of perception about whether or not an item is a necessity be it an accessory or room fixture; and your preference shows your personality. It is very common for people to spend more on a bathroom accessories luxury though, and includes, but is not limited to, scented candles, lotion and liquid soap dispensers, tissue covers, waste baskets, guest towels, bathroom mats, soap racks, and even shower curtains. A shower curtains luxury is one of the more common accessory investments but not all accessories are a luxury.
Some of these are merely accessories such as the bathroom racks and dispensers and are quite necessary to meet the purposes of a bathroom. Of course, while it is possible to make do without these accessories their presence still contributes largely to the convenience and effectiveness of a bathroom. They become a luxury when an attempt at lavishness is made – when an effort to make it unique is given.
Making the whole set theme-oriented, for example, automatically makes it a luxury. A lot of home depots and online furniture shops offer a wide range of selection in various designs. You can choose from bathroom vanity luxury to kitchen luxury with just a few steps – or clicks. It doesn’t have to always be theme-oriented though, personalizing it with your own wacky style works just as fine. Adding lush items to your bathroom – things you don’t really need for taking baths and showers like candles, flowers (presumably in a vase), and tumblers (for storing brushes and such) – is also enough to exude a vibrancy characteristic of your personality depending on the chosen scent and colors.
